AED 15 does not feel expensive. Neither does AED 19.
That is exactly why UAE delivery subscriptions are easy to stack without noticing what they cost together.
noon One, Careem Plus, Deliveroo Plus and talabat pro all sell some version of the same promise: pay a monthly fee, order often enough, and delivery becomes cheaper.
The problem is that households do not order from one ecosystem anymore.
The memberships overlap more than they used to
noon One now spans the main noon marketplace, Food, Minutes, Grocery and now now. Its current UAE monthly price is AED 15 as a limited-time offer, with different free-delivery thresholds by service.
Careem Plus costs AED 19 a month and combines delivery benefits with rides, DineOut, Send Abroad and other Careem services.
Deliveroo Plus Gold starts from AED 19 a month and covers eligible restaurant orders above AED 30 and grocery or retail orders above AED 50.
talabat pro includes eligible food and grocery delivery plus double Rewards points, but the live UAE membership fee is shown in the app rather than fixed on the public page.
The real cost appears when you subscribe by habit
A household paying for noon One, Careem Plus and Deliveroo Plus is already at least AED 53 a month before adding talabat pro.
That is not necessarily bad value. The mistake is assuming each membership is saving money independently.
If two of those apps are being used only once or twice a month, the household may be paying subscription fees to preserve optionality rather than reduce delivery costs.
Minimum spends change the maths
“Free delivery” rarely means every order qualifies.
noon One has different thresholds across Food, Minutes, Grocery and now now. Careem Plus currently lists no delivery fees on Food orders above AED 30 and Shops orders above AED 50 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Deliveroo Plus Gold uses AED 30 for restaurants and AED 50 for grocers and shops.
That means the saving depends on how you actually order.
A person who regularly spends AED 25 on quick groceries may extract value from noon Minutes but miss another platform’s grocery threshold entirely.
The best membership may be the one you already get somewhere else
Subscription overlap does not stop at delivery apps. Deliveroo Plus Silver can be available through partner programmes, including Amazon Prime. noon One can also be bundled through selected card promotions.
That creates a second trap: paying directly for a benefit you already receive indirectly.
Before renewing, check bank-card perks, Amazon Prime and other bundled services.
Use one month of real orders, not the marketing page
The cleanest test is to export or review one month of order history and ask three questions:
- How many orders actually crossed the membership threshold?
- How much delivery fee was genuinely removed?
- Would you have placed the order on that app without the membership?
If a subscription changes your behaviour enough that you spend more to “save” delivery, the membership is doing its job for the platform, not necessarily for you.
Where each ecosystem is trying to lock you in
noon wants shopping, food and quick commerce inside one account. Careem wants rides, food, groceries, payments and services. Deliveroo is pushing deeper into grocery and retail. talabat combines food, groceries, rewards and DineOut.
This is no longer only a delivery-fee competition. It is a battle over which app becomes your default place to spend.

Delivery memberships are cheap enough to feel invisible and broad enough to become sticky.
The rational setup for most households is probably not “subscribe to everything.” It is one primary ecosystem, plus temporary or bundled access elsewhere when the numbers justify it.
The moment you need four memberships to avoid delivery fees, the savings deserve an audit.
