What We Found on Pricing
Pricing is the thing most people care about most. The honest answer is that neither platform consistently wins.
On electronics, prices were within 2 to 5% of each other on identical branded items. Where the gap appears is in promotional periods. Noon runs aggressive regional promotions called White Friday and Yellow Friday. During those windows, Noon beats Amazon on local brand pricing by a noticeable margin. Amazon’s Prime Day deals are better for international electronics brands.
The practical approach: for any purchase above AED 200, open both apps and compare. The price difference is often AED 50 to 150 and it takes 30 seconds.
Noon’s app sometimes shows the competitor price next to its own listing. Amazon does not return the favour.
Delivery: Noon’s Local Infrastructure Is a Real Advantage
Noon Express ships from local warehouses in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. For items fulfilled by Noon Express, same-day delivery is available for morning orders and next-day is the consistent baseline. In our testing, Noon Express arrived within the promised window every single time.
Amazon Prime next-day delivery works well but is not consistent across all products. The Prime badge does not always mean local stock. Some Prime items ship internationally, adding three to seven days regardless of what the listing implies. You need to check the delivery estimate on each item, not just look for the Prime badge.
For anything you need tomorrow and it exists on both platforms, check whether Noon has it on Express. That beats Amazon for domestically stocked products most of the time.
Returns: Both Are Fine, Noon Is Faster
Noon’s return process is three taps in the app: request pickup, choose a time slot, confirm. A courier comes the next day. Our refund arrived within two business days.
Amazon handles returns well for items sold and fulfilled by Amazon directly. The complication appears with third-party marketplace sellers, where the return path adds steps and sometimes requires contacting the seller first. This is a known frustration for UAE Amazon users and it shows up consistently in reviews.
Customer Support: Noon Wins

Membership: Amazon Prime Is the Better Product
Amazon Prime UAE costs AED 37.99 per month or AED 379 per year. You get free next-day delivery on eligible items plus Prime Video, Prime Music, and Amazon Photos. For families who use streaming and shop online regularly, that bundle is genuine value.
Noon+ exists but is a thinner product. The delivery benefits are narrower and there is no entertainment bundle to speak of. If membership value matters to you, Prime is the clearer choice.

Use Amazon for: international brands, niche or specialist products, Prime Video value, and anything you cannot find on Noon
