This is not financial advice.
ZKsync’s ZK token jumped sharply in early November 2025. The old version of this article said the move was caused by a post from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
That is stronger than the evidence supports.
Buterin did publicly praise ZKsync’s approach, and the token moved around the same period. Timing alone does not prove that one post caused a 50% market move.
Several things were happening at once
ZKsync had recently rolled out its Atlas upgrade, was discussing changes to ZK token economics and had begun work around staking.
Matter Labs CEO Alex Gluchowski later attributed increased interest not only to public attention, but also to the new tokenomics proposal and pilot staking implementation.
The 30,000 TPS claim also needed a correction
The original Robius article said Atlas introduced a sequencer capable of up to 30,000 transactions per second.
ZKsync’s current official upgrade documentation describes the October 2025 Atlas upgrade as enabling 15,000+ TPS with the ZKsync OS sequencer, along with one-second ZK finality via Airbender.
That is still a substantial technical claim. It is just not the same number the old article published.
Price is not product proof
A token rally can reflect technical upgrades, tokenomics expectations, staking speculation, broader market conditions, social attention or all of them at once.
The more useful question is whether the underlying network changes produce sustained usage, fees and demand after the price excitement fades.
