This is not financial advice.
Historical update: this article originally covered WeFi’s WFI listing on BingX in January 2025.
The listing was real. The conclusion we drew from it was too generous.
WFI became available through BingX, and BingX still maintains pages in 2026 directing users to the WFI/USDT spot market. That establishes one narrow fact: the token has been made tradable on that exchange.
It does not establish that the project is safe, regulated, independently audited, highly liquid across the market or a good investment.
What the old article got wrong
The 2025 version described BingX as a “tier-1” listing, called WeFi inclusive and transparent, and repeated claims that its AI could help prevent financial crime. Those were marketing claims, not findings Robius had independently established.
It also treated a new exchange listing as evidence of ecosystem growth. Listings can improve access and sometimes liquidity, but they can also be paid, temporary, thinly traded or restricted by jurisdiction. The existence of a trading pair tells you very little about the quality of the underlying project.
What a listing actually tells you
At minimum, it tells you that the exchange has created a market for the asset. You still need to check the token contract, circulating supply, unlock schedule, project treasury, governance rights, custody arrangement, trading depth and the legal entity providing the exchange service to you.
Those checks matter more than labels such as “tier-1,” “next-generation” or “AI-powered.”
The current status we could verify
As checked in September 2026, BingX continues to publish WeFi pages that direct users to WFI/USDT spot trading. Availability can depend on location, account status and the exchange’s current terms, so a public trading page should not be treated as proof that the product is available to every user in every country.
The Robius check
When a token announcement says “listed on a major exchange,” translate that into a smaller claim: you may now have another place to trade it.
Then do the due diligence the listing announcement usually skips.
