Olymp Trade is not an anonymous trading site hiding behind a fake company number. Its main operator, Aollikus Limited, appears on the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission’s active dealer list under company number 40131. The harder question for a UAE trader is what that license means once money leaves your account.

We could not verify Olymp Trade or Aollikus Limited as a UAE-regulated broker in the current public registers we checked. So this review is not really about whether the platform exists. It is about where your account sits, who supervises it, and how risky the products are once you start trading.

CAUTION: Olymp Trade has a real active Vanuatu financial-dealer license and an active Financial Commission membership. UAE traders, however, are not dealing with a UAE-regulated brokerage entity. The local-regulation gap matters more because the platform offers Fixed Time trades and Forex multipliers that can make losses happen very quickly.

Start With the Company Behind the Brand

Olymp Trade’s current legal pages name Aollikus Limited as the company providing financial-instrument services. The company is registered in Vanuatu and holds financial-dealer license classes A, B, and C on the VFSC’s live list.

A second entity, Saledo Global LLC in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is named for clients trading in digital assets or using accounts denominated in digital assets. The same legal pages also list partner companies in Malta and Cyprus for content and operational management.

Those extra registrations do not make Olymp Trade a Malta- or Cyprus-regulated broker. For a customer, the important name is the legal entity on the service agreement that actually provides the financial service.

The Vanuatu License Is Genuine

The VFSC currently lists Aollikus Limited as active, with company number 40131 and license classes A, B, and C. That is solid evidence that the Vanuatu license itself is real.

We would not describe Vanuatu as ‘Tier 3’ or call it weak without a published Robius methodology for ranking regulators. The more useful fact is simple: this is offshore regulation in Vanuatu, not local supervision in the UAE.

CySEC Lists olymptrade.com as a Non-Approved Domain

Olymp Trade also has a formal European warning record. CySEC’s current list of non-approved domains includes olymptrade.com, with a listing date of June 21, 2024.

CySEC explains that domains on this list are not owned or operated by Cyprus Investment Firms authorized by CySEC to provide investment services. That does not mean CySEC fined Olymp Trade or revoked a Cyprus license. It means the domain is not approved under CySEC supervision.

The distinction matters. A warning about an unapproved domain is serious, but it should not be stretched into an enforcement story the regulator did not publish.

FinaCom Gives You a Dispute Route, but It Is Not a Regulator

Olymp Trade is also an active member of the Financial Commission, an independent dispute-resolution body for online trading firms. Its current member profile shows registration since February 2016 and compensation of up to €20,000 per complaint.

That headline needs context. The Financial Commission says its compensation fund is used after it has issued a judgment and a member refuses to comply, or when a member is removed without paying an awarded judgment. The fund does not insure normal trading losses and does not cover an entire client base if a broker becomes insolvent.

There are product exclusions too. The Commission says the fund does not apply to complaints involving managed-account trading, synthetic or non-market financial products, or digital-currency markets. So €20,000 is not blanket insurance on every trade or every Olymp Trade product.

Fixed Time Trading Is the Product to Understand First

Olymp Trade’s Fixed Time mode is built around a simple question: will the price be higher or lower after a set period? If the forecast is right, the stated payout is credited. If it is wrong, the amount placed on that trade is lost.

The platform says these trades can have preset durations ranging from seconds to much longer periods, depending on the product. That creates a very different risk profile from buying an asset and holding it for years.

The interface may feel simple because the decision has only two directions. The financial outcome is still real, and it can be decided very quickly.

Forex Multipliers Can Reach 500x

Olymp Trade’s Forex mode uses multipliers. The platform says currency pairs can use values up to x500. A $100 position with an x500 multiplier creates exposure based on a much larger trade size.

Olymp Trade itself warns that higher multipliers increase both potential profit and risk. Its broader risk disclosure says transactions can lead to substantial losses or even the loss of everything in the account.

That warning deserves more attention than the low entry price. A $10 minimum deposit makes the platform easy to try. It does not make the underlying trading product low risk.

The UAE Regulation Gap Is the Main Issue for Local Traders

We checked the public routes used for UAE financial and virtual-asset firms and could not verify Olymp Trade or Aollikus Limited as a locally regulated brokerage entity. The exact regulator depends on the activity and the jurisdiction, which is why one logo cannot answer the question.

Mainland capital-market activity can fall under the UAE Capital Market Authority. DIFC firms are checked with the DFSA. ADGM firms are checked through the FSRA. Dubai virtual-asset providers outside DIFC are checked with VARA.

A Vanuatu license does not become a UAE license because someone in Dubai can access the platform. For a UAE trader, that means the legal relationship is offshore and the main external dispute route highlighted by Olymp Trade is FinaCom rather than a UAE regulator.

Before funding any broker, use the Robius five-minute UAE platform check. Start with the exact company on the agreement, then verify what that company is actually licensed to do.

What a UAE-Licensed Broker Changes

A local license does not protect you from losing money on a bad trade. It changes the accountability around the account.

With a UAE-regulated broker, the legal entity, permitted activities, and local supervisory relationship can be checked directly. That gives a customer a clearer framework before a dispute ever happens.

Our CFI Markets review shows the difference. The UAE entity and its brokerage permissions can be identified directly.

The same principle drives the MultiBank Group review. The group brand is less important than the company named on the client agreement.

Do Not Use a Small Withdrawal as Your Safety Test

The old version of this article suggested making a small withdrawal early before trusting the platform with more money. We are removing that advice.

A successful early withdrawal is useful information about one transaction. It does not prove a platform is safe, and fraud schemes can sometimes allow small withdrawals to build confidence before asking for much larger deposits.

The stronger checks happen before money moves. Verify the company, read the withdrawal rules, understand the regulator, and know where a dispute would go.

The same rule appears in our AI investment platform scam guide. Your deposit should not be the tool used to find out whether a platform deserves trust.

There Is Also a Clone Risk

One more risk is separate from Olymp Trade itself. The Financial Commission has warned about a clone website pretending to be Olymp Trade and made clear that the site it flagged was not affiliated with the real broker.

That is common with known trading brands. A scammer does not need to invent a company when copying an existing name creates instant recognition.

If you decide to visit the platform, start from the official domain. Avoid trading links sent through Telegram, WhatsApp, social-media comments, or private messages.

The Bottom Line

Olymp Trade is not a fake broker with an invented Vanuatu license. Aollikus Limited appears as an active financial dealer on the VFSC register, and Olymp Trade has an active Financial Commission membership.

For a UAE trader, the missing local license is still a meaningful weakness. CySEC also lists olymptrade.com as a non-approved domain, while the products themselves include short-duration Fixed Time trades and Forex multipliers up to x500.

So the Robius verdict is caution, not a blanket scam label and not a safety endorsement. If local regulatory protection matters to you, compare Olymp Trade with a broker whose exact UAE entity and permissions can be verified on the relevant UAE register.

The trading interface is the easy part to compare. The legal protection around your account is the part worth spending time on.
