At least one founder is expected to relocate long term and build a team in Abu Dhabi.

Funding or benefit

Selected startups receive AED 250,000 of flexible incentives that can be used with programme service providers, plus AED 250,000 in cash in exchange for equity through a SAFE note. High-performing startups committed to Abu Dhabi may be eligible for a further AED 250,000 cash top-up in exchange for additional equity after the programme or after one year.

Equity, fee, or repayment requirement

The AED 250,000 cash component is provided in exchange for equity through a SAFE note. Any additional cash top-up also involves additional equity. The flexible incentives are not the same as unrestricted cash, and applicants should review the final SAFE and programme terms before accepting.

Complete all required application fields; upload a PDF pitch deck covering the required company, market, traction, fundraising, team and Abu Dhabi sections; demonstrate a credible founding team and market opportunity; and be prepared for at least one founder to relocate long term and build a team in Abu Dhabi. Selection proceeds through application review, founder meetings, partner meetings and a final selection committee.
