President Trump to launch a crypto wallet and trading app
Recently, Donald Trump Jr. revealed that The Trump Organization is working on creating a cryptocurrency wallet. He did, however, add that a newly found domain that claims to be associated with this initiative is not officially connected to it. Eric Trump echoed this, saying the website has nothing to do with their activities.
Crypto researcher Molly White has noted that the domain in question functions separately from the Trump meme coin project’s official website. The latter had previously revealed details of a dinner party with well-known cryptocurrency investors.
By offering a waitlist sign-up, a promise of $1 million in token rewards, a mobile app interface demo, and branding that suggests it is the main platform for managing and trading digital assets with a Trump theme, the new website promotes the $TRUMP Wallet.
Additional details on the website indicate that Slingshot Finance, a cryptocurrency trading platform focused on mobile devices that Magic Eden recently purchased, is supporting the initiative. The goal of Magic Eden is to offer more products than just NFTs. As of right now, neither Magic Eden nor Slingshot Finance have made any official statements about this development.
Jack Lu, the CEO of Magic Eden, went to the Trump meme coin dinner with other executives. Notably, the platform and Trump had already worked together when the Trump Cards NFT collection moved to their platform in March 2024.
