The short answer

Etihad Credit Bureau’s refreshed app combines the UAE credit score, full report, cheque-clearance indicator and data-correction tools. The report is often more useful than the score alone.

The three-digit UAE credit score gets most of the attention.

The full credit report is usually where the useful explanation sits.

Etihad Credit Bureau’s refreshed app now puts both in the same place, alongside a cheque-clearance indicator and tools for requesting corrections to reported data.

The score is the summary

UAE credit scores run from 300 to 900.

Banks use the score as one input when assessing creditworthiness, but the number does not explain itself.

A score can move because of payment history, credit usage, bounced cheques, new applications and other information in the underlying report.

The report tells you what the number cannot

The credit report shows accounts, loans, cards, payment history and other reported credit information.

That is where a resident can find the item that may be dragging the score down or spot something that does not look correct.

The app now lets users challenge data

Etihad Credit Bureau says users can select information they believe is incorrect, provide supporting documents and submit a review request to the relevant information provider from inside the app.

That makes the report more actionable than simply checking a score and worrying about it.

The cheque tool is now inside the same app

The refreshed Etihad Credit Bureau app also includes the Cheque Clearance Indicator, replacing the previous standalone Cheque Score app.

Users can scan a cheque and get an assessment based on the issuer’s UAE credit and cheque history.

What residents should actually monitor

  • Missed or late payments.
  • High utilisation of available credit.
  • Unexpected accounts or facilities.
  • Bounced-cheque history.
  • Incorrect data that needs correction.

A high score is not something to “hack”

There is no overnight trick.

UAE bank guidance consistently points back to the boring fundamentals: pay on time, avoid unnecessary credit applications, keep balances manageable and correct inaccurate information.

The Robius Read

The score is useful because it compresses your credit profile into one number.

The report is useful because it tells you what is underneath that number.

If you only check the score, you are watching the dashboard without opening the engine bay.
